New mini PC with Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor can be connected to iPad and start Microsoft OS.
Company InFocus presented Windows 10 mini computer, Kangaroo PC. When you add a mouse and a keyboard it turns into real desktop computer with a Windows 10 OS, after, of course, is connected to a monitor or TV.
But the thing that makes this mini PC special is that instead if connecting it to TV, it can be connected to iPad and use Apple’s tablet as a screen.
Inside Kangaroo there is an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor working on 1,44 GHz, 2 GB LP DDR3 RAM, Wi-Fi, and 32GB eMMC storage with possibility of expanding with microSD cards, and there is also integrated fingerprint reader that comes with Windows Hello authentication system. Of course, there is Intel’s integrated graphics used to display images.
With the device you also get a small dock for connecting external units using HDMI, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.
To use the iPad as a touch screen, you need to install the software on Kangaroo called OSLinx Server for Windows and on the iPhone application from iTunes OSLinx Windows Monitor.
Price of this new mini PC is 99 dollars, which is also a big plus. Infocus intends to present “additional package” of Kangaroo equipment, including other docks and monitors.
