Studio best known by point’n’click adventures and MMORPG’s has engaged in a survival horror genre and introduced us narrative-led The Park.
Funcom may not be the most famous name on the scene, but they have been working for over twenty years and have worked on some good and known titles like The Longest Journey, Anarchy Online and Age of Conan. The park, which is expected by the end of the year, will not have much similarity with their previous titles.
It is a horror game that the developers themselves are comparing with titles like Gone Home and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and we must agree that it looks as a great psycho – logical horror with narrative leads. We are always excited about these games and what a well-told story can present.
What might disappoint some players is the short duration of this adventure, because to cross The Park apparently an hour or two is enough. We shall see how Funcom will justify that with the price, but maybe the game is that good and it will justify all doubts.
What do you think about The Park? Do you think that two hours are enough for this game to succeed on the market today?
