Expansion Rising Tide is expanding the area of gameplay and adding number of options resulting from the player’s requests. 2K Games and Firaxis have released Rising Tide, new expansion for the turn-based title Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth.

The new expansion, according to the official announcement pushes the borders of the original and takes us, across new alien areas into depths of the ocean, with the addition of new diplomatic options and other numerous improvements.

The new “naval” gameplay allows players to explore the sea depths and to colonize them with new buildings, units and opponents, while authors emphasize that they have included additional graphic upgrades, Sarah Anderson from 2K Games pointed out that for a previous year, the team from Firaxis had carefully listened to feedback from the players, so in accordance they included numerous changes and adjustments into Rising Tide.

Rising Tide is being sold via Steam for pretty high $29.99 with a note that for playing you must also have an installation for Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth.
