Twitter is not doing really well and the company made it very clear to the rest of the world. In fact, 336 of Twitter’s workers were fired, which is actually eight percent of their total workforce. Engineers and those employed in Department of Products are the most affected by layoffs.
Twitter’s problem is that, despite its importance as a great mean of rapid viral information spreading is growing relatively slow. Because of this long-standing problem, the company has dismissed the director Dick Costolo, who was in that position for five long years.
The new director, Jack Dorsey, has already started with restructuring. With layoffs he will, as he said on Twitter (where else), provide the social network with greater focus on priority services, whatever they may be.
